The 2024 Academy Ball "Voyage"

On 7 December 2024, more than 300 distinguished guests, donors, and supporters gathered for the most anticipated fundraiser in town – the annual Academy Ball, which commemorated the two milestones of the 40th anniversary of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and the 35th anniversary of The Society of the Academy for Performing Arts.

Themed ”Voyage“, the 2024 Academy Ball celebrates the brilliant and multi-faceted journeys embarked upon by the school‘s students and alumni in the world of performing arts; its achievement as the leading performing arts institute in Asia; and its 35 years of partnership with the Society of the Academy for Performing Arts, which has contributed more than HK$100 million in scholarship donations, benefitting more than 1,500 exceptional students from around the globe since its inception in 1989.

The evening featured a series of remarkable performances by alumni, students and celebrity performers; a special catwalk showcase with celebrities modelling luxury sponsor Boghossian’s high jewelry collection; and rounded up with a charity auction that boasted precious lots such as Boghossian pieces, vintage grand cru, and a special experience with Ocean Park‘s giant pandas.

This year’s Ball was co-chaired by our CEO Michelle Cheng and Candy Chuang, bringing their curated touch to this unforgettable evening. Sponsored by platinum sponsor Phoenix Yuen Foundation and luxury sponsor Boghossian, the Ball raised a total of HK$8.4 million to support student scholarships and other ongoing developments at the Academy.

Occasions served as the official PR & Event partner, and also sponsored red and white wines for the event.
